And now, for a little dose of real-life honesty… WHOOPS!!!! Silly ol’ me was diligently preparing this very post, getting all the wonderful features and party details ready this past Sunday afternoon. I suppose, in my preoccupied state, I inadvertently HIT “publish” without all the final updates and changes! I didn’t even notice my little blunder until I clicked on tonight, ready to put the finishing touches on it. Oy vey! It just goes to show you what happens when your regular blogging routine gets completely disrupted, and your brain has turned to mush because you’re in your very last week of work before a massive life change. Add to that the overwhelming task of packing box after box for an epic move to the other side of the country, and well, frankly, sometimes I can’t even spell right, let alone remember if I’ve hit publish or save draft! Sheesh!
Life has certainly been a whirlwind lately. We officially depart Arizona next Friday, and it honestly feels surreal that the day is almost here. We’re really doing this – embarking on a brand new chapter, relocating thousands of miles away. At times I get completely freaked out by the enormity of it all, the endless to-do lists, and the unknown that lies ahead. But then, other times, I’m overcome with immense excitement for our new adventure. I truly believe this will be really good for us, a chance for fresh starts and new experiences, even if it means embracing the unfamiliar comforts of snow, ice-cold weather, and all that comes with it. *sigh* It’s a mix of emotions, but ultimately, a journey we’re ready to embrace.
Amidst all the personal chaos, the one constant is the incredible support and inspiration I find within this blogging community.
