Plus, its vibrant colors – the classic yellow, orange, and white of candy corn – make it a visually stunning addition to any Fall spread, from Halloween parties to Thanksgiving feasts.

The Enchanting Appeal of White Chocolate Fudge

While traditional chocolate fudge holds a special place in many hearts, white chocolate fudge offers a unique allure. Its rich, buttery, and intensely sweet profile provides a wonderful foundation for incorporating a myriad of flavors and mix-ins. Unlike its darker counterpart, white chocolate allows other ingredients to truly shine, enhancing their characteristics without overpowering them. In this recipe, it highlights the subtle, nostalgic flavor of candy corn, creating a balanced and deeply satisfying treat.

The creaminess of white chocolate is also unparalleled, contributing to that signature smooth and melt-in-your-mouth texture that defines truly exceptional fudge. It’s versatile too; think of the possibilities with caramel, nuts, or even crushed candy bars – a fudge-making marathon certainly sounds like a splendid idea! This white chocolate base ensures a luxurious experience, making it the perfect vehicle for our festive candy corn.

Creamy white chocolate fudge with the taste of Fall. It’s Candy Corn Fudge!!

Ingredients

  • 1 7-ounce canister marshmallow creme
  • 1 12-ounce bag white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ cup (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup candy corn, divided

Instructions

  1. Prepare an 8×8-inch pan by lining it with parchment paper. Use a parchment sheet a couple of inches larger than the bottom of the pan. Place the pan on top and trace the outline of the bottom onto the paper. Do NOT cut the outline out. Instead, cut from the sides of the parchment just to the edge of each corner. Cut any excess paper off of the top. You will then be able to put the paper into the pan, and have the sides fold up, allowing for very easy removal of the fudge once it’s set.

  2. Place the white chocolate chips and the entire canister of marshmallow creme into a large mixing bowl.

  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, butter, heavy whipping cream, and kosher salt. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally. Cook for exactly 5 minutes, maintaining a gentle boil.

  4. Carefully pour the hot contents from the saucepan into the mixing bowl containing the white chocolate chips and marshmallow creme. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and all the chips have melted. This can be done easily with a rubber whisk or a stand mixer on low speed.

  5. With a rubber spatula, gently fold in ¾ cup of the candy corn. Continue to blend until the candy corn is thoroughly mixed and evenly distributed throughout the fudge base.

  6. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with your spatula. Evenly distribute the remaining ¼ cup of candy corn over the top of the fudge and gently press them in to ensure they adhere.

  7. Place the pan into the refrigerator and allow the fudge to set completely for 3 to 5 hours, or until firm.

  8. Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper. For smooth, clean, and even cuts, use a warm, dry knife. Wipe the knife clean between each cut for the best results.

Notes

A 9×9-inch pan will also work for this recipe, though your fudge will be slightly thinner.

Tips for Crafting the Perfect Candy Corn Fudge

  • Precise Measurement: Fudge making benefits from accuracy. Ensure all ingredients are measured precisely, especially for the sugar and liquids.
  • Quality Ingredients: Use good quality white chocolate chips for the best flavor and smoothest melt. Full-fat heavy whipping cream is essential for that creamy texture.
  • Boiling Time is Key: Stick to the 5-minute boiling time for the sugar mixture. Over-boiling can result in hard, crumbly fudge, while under-boiling might lead to fudge that doesn’t set properly.
  • Thorough Mixing: Once the hot sugar mixture is added to the chocolate and marshmallow creme, stir until everything is completely smooth and no lumps remain. This ensures a uniform texture.
  • Gentle Folding: When incorporating the candy corn, fold it in gently with a spatula to ensure even distribution without crushing the candies too much.
  • Proper Cooling: Don’t rush the cooling process. Allow the fudge to set fully in the refrigerator for at least 3-5 hours. Patience here will be rewarded with perfectly firm fudge.
  • Clean Cuts: For professional-looking squares, use a sharp knife warmed under hot water and dried thoroughly. Wipe the knife clean after each cut to prevent sticking.

Serving Suggestions and Creative Ideas

Candy Corn Fudge is incredibly versatile and makes a fantastic addition to various autumn occasions. Cut into small squares, it’s perfect for a dessert platter at your Halloween party or Thanksgiving gathering. Arrange it alongside other festive treats like pumpkin pie bars or caramel apples for a stunning display.

This fudge also makes a thoughtful homemade gift during the Fall season. Package a few pieces in a decorative box or cellophane bag tied with an autumn-themed ribbon for teachers, neighbors, or friends. It’s a sweet gesture that’s always appreciated. For a cozy evening, serve a piece of fudge with a warm cup of coffee, tea, or even a spiced apple cider. The creamy sweetness of the fudge provides a delightful contrast to the warm beverages. You can also crumble it over vanilla ice cream for an extra festive dessert!

Storage Tips for Maximum Freshness

To keep your Candy Corn Fudge fresh and delicious, store it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. If you prefer a firmer fudge or live in a warmer climate, you can store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Just be sure to bring it back to room temperature for about 15-20 minutes before serving to achieve its ideal soft and creamy texture. Fudge also freezes well for longer storage; wrap individual pieces tightly in plastic wrap and then place them in an airtight freezer-safe container for up to 2-3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight or at room temperature.

This Candy Corn Fudge is an absolute winner – a smooth, creamy white chocolate confection infused with the delightful, festive crunch and flavor of candy corn. It’s the ultimate Fall treat that promises pure sweetness with no tricks involved! It’s sure to be a hit with everyone, especially the kids, who will go absolutely nuts for it.
