An Exciting Update from Your Host!

Before we dive into this week’s features, I have some personal news to share that’s been bubbling with excitement! First, a little self-confession: I swear I’m getting better at this linking up thing! Last week, I *still* managed to link up one of my own recipes incorrectly, putting in my own name instead of the recipe title. Good grief! And, of course, my sweet aunt Carol was there to gently remind me via email. LOL! Thanks for keeping me on my toes, Carol! It’s a running joke now, but I promise to double-check this week!

But enough about my linking mishaps, because today is a TRULY GREAT day! Not only are we celebrating our 31st Wicked Good Wednesdays party – a fantastic milestone for our community – but it’s also MY BIRTHDAY! I’m not going to reveal the exact number; we’ll keep that a secret for now. Let’s just say “mid-40s” will suffice. Exactly. It’s a wonderful feeling to celebrate with all of you, surrounded by such creativity and positive energy.

And if a birthday wasn’t enough, I have some even BIGGER news to share! No, I am NOT pregnant in my mid-40s, heavens no! (Sheesh!) The monumental news is that my family and I, the 365 family, have made the incredible decision to pack up our house and home and move across the country! We’re leaving the often horrendous dry desert heat behind for the lush, verdant green mountains of the East Coast.

We’re headed back to “New Ampsheer,” as my beloved grandmother used to affectionately call it – back to New England, where our roots run deep. This move signifies a return to family, cherished old friends, and… (gulp!)… SNOW! Yes, you heard that right. After years in the desert, anticipating blizzards and chilly winters is quite the thought. I honestly don’t know how I’ll fare through the entire process of moving and then readapting to the New England climate and lifestyle, but I promise to keep you all updated every step of the way. We plan to embark on this grand adventure at the beginning of August, so stay tuned for more stories and perhaps some glimpses into our cross-country journey and our new beginnings.

Alright, with all that personal excitement out of the way, let’s get down to what you’re all here for – the fantastic features from last week’s party!

Wicked Good Features: Our Top Picks and Most Clicked!

Our Most Clicked Link of the Week Goes To…

Disappearing Nut Butter Bread from A Kitchen Hoor!

Oh, my goodness! This recipe captured everyone’s attention, and it’s easy to see why! Christie from A Kitchen Hoor truly outdid herself with this phenomenal Disappearing Nut Butter Bread. The name itself is intriguing, suggesting a loaf so delicious it vanishes almost as quickly as it’s made.

Disappearing Nut Butter Bread

Christie made this phenomenal bread! I have some quite ripe nanners sitting on my kitchen counter as we speak! I think they’re going to meet their delicious doom in a very similar fashion.

The thought of this moist, flavorful bread, infused with the rich essence of nut butter, is truly tantalizing. It sounds like the perfect comforting treat for breakfast, an afternoon snack, or even a late-night indulgence. I can practically smell it baking! If you’re looking for a simple yet incredibly satisfying bake, this is definitely one to try. Congratulations, Christie, on such a popular and well-deserved feature!

My Wicked Pick of the Week is…

Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake Bars from Jenn’s Random Scraps!

Prepare your taste buds for an exquisite delight! My personal Wicked Pick of the Week goes to Jenn from Jenn’s Random Scraps for her absolutely stunning Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake Bars.

Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake Bars

The mere combination of these two vibrant flavors—tart lemon and sweet blueberries—paired with the creamy richness of cheesecake has me absolutely drooling! Jenn, you are truly a genius in the kitchen!

These bars look like the epitome of a perfect summer dessert: light, refreshing, yet indulgent. The vibrant colors alone are enough to brighten any table, and I can only imagine the burst of flavor with every bite. The tang of lemon cutting through the sweetness of blueberries and the smooth cheesecake base sounds like pure culinary harmony. What a fantastic creation, Jenn! You’ve certainly inspired my next baking project.

AND French Toast Sourdough Crepes with Maple Cream and Candied Bacon from Cooking with Curls!

Oh, Lisa from Cooking with Curls, you had me at “Fr.” Okay, honestly, it was the crepes that immediately captured my attention. And then, when you added “Maple Cream and Candied Bacon,” you had me hook, line, and sinker… no, make that anchor!

French Toast Sourdough Crepes with Maple Cream and Candied Bacon

Can someone please come to my house this morning and make these incredible French Toast Sourdough Crepes for my birthday breakfast? Please? It would be the ultimate birthday indulgence!

Imagine the delicate, tangy sourdough crepes, soaked in that French toast goodness, then generously topped with a decadent maple cream and savory-sweet candied bacon. This isn’t just a breakfast; it’s an experience! The combination of textures and flavors – the crispiness of the bacon, the smoothness of the cream, and the tender crepes – sounds like a symphony for the palate. Lisa has truly created a masterpiece that elevates breakfast to an art form. This dish is perfect for a special occasion or simply when you want to treat yourself to something extraordinary.
